I enjoyed reading all the Letters in the October 29-30 Sun-Gazette. One question was not asked. As an old citizen and veteran, no Letter asked the 1980 question Ronald Reagan posed: "Are you better off today than you were four years ago?" Recall the prior four years under Carter sent our Prime rate to 21%, home mortgages were escalated to 18% and our savings had no place to invest to keep up.
Today we have high inflation, high gas prices, millions of illegals running into our country, in my opinion to gain FREE benefits denied to taxpaying citizens and more of the same is available if voters are dumb enough to vote for more of the same!
For those who want to go back two years to better days, vote for better days, or more of the same. Ben Franklin said. "A free man can vote himself into slavery, but NO slave can vote himself free."
