I woke up again today. It's not something I expect any more.
I look around me every day and see a whole different Republic. A country that is funding another country's war with money we don't have; a leader whose family is deep in the pockets of a foreign enemy; a media that only prints the administration's agenda; a justice system whose main target are those who support real American values, and whose prime target is the No. 1 enemy of the Democratic Party.
I see pharmaceutical companies, who are making billions, by scaring or convincing everyone over 50 they need all kinds of vaccinations to survive, not only COVID, but everything from the flu to shingles. And, I see every radical or unconventional group or organization, receiving equal treatment, even, in my opinion, at the loss of rights by other groups.
So much, that I once held near and dear, slowly disappearing from my world.
Yes, I woke up this morning and everything has changed. I fear the world as I knew it is lost.
