Christianity in the U.S. is dying. About 10 years ago, a survey indicated about 90% of Americans identified as Christian. Only about 10% of those indicated they were part of a church, however. The 80% of Americans who don't attend church do not take or send their children to church either. Those children, for all intents and purposes, are lost to Christianity. Many of those -- even Christians -- who don't attend church couldn't tell you the significance of Christmas (the birth of Christ our savior) or Easter (the resurrection of Christ on the third day following his crucifixion and death.) As generations of "Christians" fail to attend church, church population drops until they can no longer support themselves. A recent survey indicate that only 60% now profess to be Christian. Many of that 30% reduction are the children of those who previously professed to be non-attended Christians because they were never exposed to Christianity.
I believe our government was established on Christian principles. In recent decades, however, our government has moved further and further away from Christianity. Christ was kicked out of schools and noe the devil is trying to get a foothold in our schools through after-school "club" programs. With Roe vs. Wade, 60 million Americans were, in my opinion, murdered. One of the Ten Commandments says "thou shall not kill." If you think about it, you will note that we and our government is to blame for the lack of manpower to fill all the vacant jobs in this country -- after all, we did murder 60 million potential employees. Our younger generations are protesting the end of Roe vs. Wade. They do not understand or refuse to accept that abortion is murder. They believe they have a right to end the inconvenience of raising a child. If they didn't practice having sex with whomever they wished, they wouldn't have this problem.
Both major political parties have some good ideas on how to improve our country. We can't save the world by hampering our oil and gas production. All that accomplishes is to make us reliant on our enemies for those resources. We would be stronger if we were permitted to produce more of our own gas and oil. It is going to get done one way or another. It might as well be the way that is advantageous for us. While we do that, we can be developing less expensive electric cars and developing solar and wind power. The infrastructure to support electric cars should be developed by those who will rpfit from them, not the taxpayers.
What is in my opinion the opening of the borders to allow rampant illegal immigration is breaking the back of this country. Especially since our government -- really the taxpayers -- is supporting these people in ways they don't even support our own people. All these people should be helped to train themselves to support themselves, not to rely on the government for everything.
I will continue to pray for healing in our country and government. God knows we need it.
