Bad advice
I love my 99-year-old mother dearly, but I feel that from my youth see gave me bad advice. Some of the guidance she gave me just appears to have been wrong. Here are some of the things that apparently are not true.
She always said "if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all. She taught me to treat women with respect. Most importantly she taught me to always tell the TRUTH. She felt that it was important not to be a bully and never call other people bad names. Another guideline she gave me was to respect the law and the police.
As I watch the leading Republican candidate for President of the United States, I wonder how my mother could have steered me so poorly. Donald J. Trump and his supporters think that none of this moral guidance is important. As we go into the 2024 presidential election I just feel that if my mother had given me better advice, I could have been president!
