Doesn’t just check a box

Although this is a very important election year, often times other elections aside from the President goes unnoticed. This year we have several that are just as important and directly impact us here in Pennsylvania. State Treasurer is one that people don’t think about or even know who is in the position. Ryan Bizarro and Erin Mclelland are the two democratic candidates running for the position and only one doesn’t just check a box.

Erin Mclelland has faced adversity from her democratic opponent that gives rise to a person who is not just intimidated by her, but also not too sure of his campaign when he resorts to name calling and finger pointing of things he too has done.

Erin Mclelland doesn’t just check a box with her qualifications, she also walks the walk as a seasoned substance abuse and mental health counselor for 15 years, she also trained under previous Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neil in which she learned supply chain logistics. She designed and operated the state’s first and only orthomolecular recovery program for addiction here in Pennsylvania that was featured twice in Industrial Engineer Magazine.

Our current State Treasurer invested $20 million in Israel bonds to “show support” and her democratic opponent has gone on record about the recent investment voicing “support of investing in the Israel bonds.” Checking a box and just speaking to what people want to hear is not Erin, she knows the job, understands it, and will be fiscally responsible.
