A problem solved

2 min read

As of today -- Jan. 13 -- 16 people found dead as a result of the horrific, catastrophic fire in California. Forty-thousand acres scorched and still burning. It is like the devil at work in some of the most beautiful country and neighborhoods in the world. Imagine 100 mph winds with blazing embers of fire blowing at you, your home, your car and your surrounding woods. The parched soil and dry brush was no match for the high winds coming off of the desert. All the homes were high and magnificent homes, often housing third-generation families of wealth and success.

I can attest to the beauty of the area, as I had gone to school there when I was younger. Hollywood, Palisades, Sunset Boulevard, the beaches were just like a dreamland to me. I I met the Everly Brothers -- rock and roll stars at NBC Studios, Joe and Eddie, Marilyn Monroe on Coronada Golf Course while she was filming "Some Like It Hot," went to the Olympics at Squaw Valley with Tony Curtis, Janet Leigh and Sid Caesar and a lot more memories.

Now for some current events.

Gov. Gavin Newsom leads a blue state down a path we are in today, meaning: eliminate logging in the mountains around Los Angeles and ignoring warnings regarding infrastructure around L.A. -- specifically the underground water lines serving fire hydrants in the county. Donald J. Trump, who owns some houses in the area, also forewarned Newsom of the aging water lines, plus that California's polling places had voter registration files that haven't been upgraded in 20 years. Since Trump was declared the lower in the 2020 election after election day tallies, he went from state to state to polling places and found fraudulent practices in every state. Absentee ballots were coming in weeks late, led by Illinois and Oregon. Ballot harvesting, vote brokers and all kinds of fraudulent practices were obvious in every state. Although Newsom was encouraging absentee balloting he and many states have seen the light -- our nation may finally see free and honest elections.
