Free once again

3 min read

With this contentious election now over, perhaps we can look forward to a return of sensibility and normalcy in how we live our lives. For example, our freedom of speech will have returned so that one would not be afraid to actually speak without fear of retribution by the "speech police." Silent no more, Americans can once again feel safe in knowing that if they wish to speak critically, they would not face the ire of the ruling political party. Woke principles of non-gender pronouns, speaking out of injustices committed by individuals differing from us will not be construed as racist or homophobic. Moral turpitude has no race or color, but is straight down the middle neutral. Our 1st Amendment right to free speech shall shine bright in all of its glory.

"We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced." ~ Malala Yousafzai, Activist

We also can rest more easily in knowing that our Constitution can now be looked at as the document our Founding Fathers had intended it to be. The 2nd Amendment clearly gives law abiding citizens the right to keep and bear arms, stating clearly that this right "shall not be infringed". This Amendment was included as a stop gap to prevent a "rouge" government from taking controlling action detrimental to the citizenry and also as a warning to any foreign entity with nefarious plans, that our rights and freedoms will not be attacked without severe consequences to their well-being.

We no longer will have to walk on eggshells as we go through our daily lives. Parents who object to government interference in their right to bring up their children with proper discipline will not be labeled as "terrorists," nor threatened with arrest. Young tots will not be subjected to "sexual orientation" information in schools, also "Drag Queen" story time readings will not be tolerated as well. One will not be subjected to the ire of the government for practicing their religious beliefs when it comes to raising their children, or where and how they worship. Religious freedom shall once again be rightfully re-established without having to worry about unlawful government interference.

"With great power comes great responsibility." ~ Stan Lee, Writer

Our rights to be individuals should always be first and foremost. We all have choices to make; some good, some not so, but regardless of what the government thinks is better for our wellbeing rather than allowing personal choice will no longer be the prevailing rule of law. Sensible adults can make their choices and if unlawful, face the consequences of their actions. We should not be a country that uses legal methods to correct actions that are inconsistent with what the government says is the norm, especially if government norm is contrary to written and accepted legal practices. Socialistic "lawfare" will not be tolerated to make extreme anti-American changes to our Constitutional rights and privileges. No longer will political opponents be unduly charged with "bogus crimes" in order to stifle them and all citizens regardless of stature, will be treated with the respect they deserve and expect. Welcome to the era of "America Reborn." God Bless the USA!
