For all those who espouse RFK Jr's views on vaccines and his potential influence as Director of Health and Human Services under the New Trump administration, just take stroll through one of those old church cemeteries, preferably when the weather is good. Consider the names and dates on the tomb stones, and the all the children that never made it.
By far, the number one killer of children in all the centuries prior to the advent of vaccinations was infection; typhoid fever, measles, small pox, diphtheria, pneumonia, all entirely preventable now thanks to the men and women who dedicated their lives to create the science and technology.
Perhaps we are too far removed in time from all that death and misery to appreciate the gifts we have garnered thanks to real medical science.
