On January 21st, Donald Trump will take over our country with unprecedented power. With the Republicans controlling both the house and Senate, and Trump's and Musk's control of every Republican Senator and Representative with the ability to "primary" them, and his control of the judicial branch, particularly the Supreme Court, the only major government institution remaining loyal to the Constitution will be the military. To cow our generals and other line officers into submission, Trump already has a commission in place assembling a list of line officers and Pentagon officials that he intends to court martial. His intent is use fear of court martial, and imprisonment, even with retired officers, to convince these officers to break their vow to the Constitution and swear personal loyalty to him.
Then, with the most powerful military in the world, he will be the most powerful man in human history. More powerful than the Caesars, more powerful than the Pharaohs, wielding more power than Hitler, Stalin, and Putin combined.
The primary order of business will be to fill the Swamp with his own loyal creatures. He is putting in place an oligarchy, with lobbyists and billionaires (14 at last count) running all of government.
With Trump holding all reins of control, what will he do with this never-before-seen power? To begin with, he will see no consequences for his many crimes. He has demolished, like no American before him, the long held principle that no man is above the law. He has spoken openly and repeatedly of his complete and utter disregard for our Constitution, which has largely made America, so within the next twelve months, the First Amendment will be gutted. Freedom of the press will fade away, along with the guaranteed freedom to peacefully assemble and petition our government for grievances.
The EPA will be dissolved, and any progress towards slowing climate change and cleaner air, water, and earth will be reversed.
The Justice Department, the FBI, and our intelligence agencies, the CIA and NSA, etc., are going to become truly weaponized for the first time, Trump's personal agencies of petty revenge and policy enforcement.
We are become an oligarchy, much like Russia, a completely corrupt government by and for the very rich.
Ukraine will be hamstrung by Trump cutting off money and supplies, forced to surrender completely to Putin, with Poland, Finland, and perhaps Germany then subject to Putin's fantasies of empire. Trump will withdraw us from that fortress of democracy, NATO.
Sometime in the middle or late summer, we will come to realize that that presidents, whether named Trump or Biden, can't override the markets, and so have little to no impact on the price of gas, housing, or eggs, and not much more impact on interest rates.
These are easy predictions to make, based on Trump and his allies own public statements.
If his health survives his diet, he is not likely to leave office in in four years, per his own statements. Trump wants to be Putin, and wants America to be Russia. We have not yet truly grasped this fact.
America died Nov. 5, 2024. Dead by her own hand, a suicide. Aged 248 years. Sorry, Mr. Franklin, we could not keep your republic that you, Jefferson, Washington, Adams, and others bequeathed us. It was good while it lasted.
