Recently, Congressman Dan Meuser of PA-9 introduced the Payment Information Integrity Reform Act to "expose waste and improper payments in federal programs." From 1988-2008, Congressman Meuser worked for his family's multimillion dollar mobility company, Pride Mobility Products, and still sits on the company's board today.
Pride Mobility accepts government payments in the form of Medicaid and Medicare. Pride Mobility is also a high-level donor to Congressman Meuser's political campaigns.
That's right.
Congressman Meuser funds his political campaigns, in part, on the profits he and his family make from government payments. Tax dollars that are supposed to support our elderly and disabled line the congressman's pockets and have paved his way to power.
All constituents in his district should be calling on the congressman to release what percentage of his company's gross profit comes from government payments every year since 1988 along with their total net profit up to the present. I urge state-level journalists to look into this matter further as Congressman Meuser has signaled that he plans to run for governor in 2026 as well.
