The emperor has no clothes

2 min read

As we (barely) survived the second month of #47's second term, the chaos increases and our beloved Republic becomes less and less recognizable. We are rushing towards an autocracy as the Executive Branch illegally ignores Congress's power to legislate and fund the government, confident that the once apolitical Supreme Court will be a rubber stamp for the whims of an unrestrained Executive.

The First Amendment is non-existent for anyone with an opinion different from what is proclaimed from the White House. Case in point, the AP, one of the oldest, fairest, and most respected news organizations in the world, has been banned from the White House Press Corps because they continue to call that southern body of water by its historical name; The Gulf of Mexico.

The President, along with his Shadow who has no official mandate and often seems to overshadow DJT, is taking a chainsaw to the Constitution. It is obvious that his goal is to distract with a steady stream of name-calling, insults, and baseless accusations, so that no one will notice his only plan is a concept of chaos to make the federal government so dysfunctional it cannot fulfill its responsibilities, which have been mandated and funded by Congress.

Although he assured us that he respects and will abide by Court orders, he has ignored them all, continuing his illegal actions as he erases the checks and balances the Constitution enumerates to ensure the three branches of government have equal, but distinctly different responsibilities.
