The servant, not the master

I must disagree with the Washington Post editorial, published on page A4 of the Sun-Gazette’s Feb. 28 edition titled, “Mass firings backfiring.” The DOGE folks have let go many federal employees newly hired by the Biden Administration. Our federal government is bloated and many employees are still “working from home” due to Covid. Why? Fewer than 10% report to their office workplace. Trump wants 100% to come to the office so they can work more efficiently. Pajamas are no longer optional.

The federal government, in theory, is limited by the Constitution, but that is not the case in 2025. Where is DECREED the federal government is supposed to tell all Americans what light bulb they may buy, whether or not they may own and use a gas kitchen stove and what hot water heater they may use in their homes? Enough already!

The runaway government spending has ended thanks to President Trump and DOGE. The more cuts, the better because the government is to be the Servant and not the Master of the citizen taxpayers.
