As to be expected, Trump-hating letters by readers are still appearing in the Sun-Gazette almost daily. There are a couple letters which appeared side by side in a recent issue to which I could not keep from responding.
One was by an individual in Renovo who stated that the recent meeting between President Trump and President Zelenskyy was an embarrassment for both Ukraine and the American people, indicating the embarrassment was the fault of the administration.
I watched that meeting, and I agree. It was embarrassing, but only because, as I confidently saw it, Mr. Zelenskyy was clearly displaying an arrogantly huge ego. President Trump and Vice President Vance were politely and diplomatically attempting to help Mr. Zelenskyy comprehend the position of the United States.
The Renovo reader ended his letter by asking, "How do you feel?" Well, that's how I feel!
The other letter, titled "Attack on our democracy," was submitted by some guy in Spring Mills–yet another leftist letter from the State College area. Surprise, surprise! That reader stated, "By defunding Medicaid, they are robbing the poor to cut Musk's taxes." I really don't like to insult anyone's intelligence, so I'll just say, "What nerve!"
The truth of the matter is the administration is defunding neither Medicaid nor Medicare. In fact, they are working to protect them. Anyone who cares to be honest can check all this out…but not with any left-wing organization.
It is obvious both writers referred to above are loyal fans of the mainstream far left national news media. As has always been the case with the left and the Democrats for quite some time, in both those above letters, the shoe is on the other foot.
