Okay, I can understand why President Musk wants a tariff on foreign vehicles since it makes his cars more affordable. Expect to see more car sales on the White House lawn.
But what about average Americans? 25% on a $50,000 car will increase its price to the average person by $10,000! Nothing to rich Republicans but a lot to most people.
Why can't we get the KEI pickups for $10,000? Or the BDY electric cars for $10,000? We don't protect other industries like the auto industry! What happened to capitalism determining what the market wants instead of our only President born and raised in Africa determining the cost ?
But if the price of cars bothers YOU, just recall what JD Vance said, "If you live in America and are not a millionaire, then you are either stupid or lazy". But it will only take you another 33 weeks on minimum work wages to pay the extra $10,000 for a car tariff.
