A recent Letter to the Editor suggests sending Marines to Yemen. 50 years ago on May 12, 1975 we sent Marines into Cambodia after Cambodia seized an American ship sailing in their territorial waters.
After two days of fighting, our Marines left …but abandoned several of their troops on the beach. These young men were captured and executed by the Khymer Rouge and, even though the war in Vietnam was over in 1973, their names are on "The Wall" in Washington DC.
The Republican Administration made the decision to abandon those young men. Do you really think if things went "South" in Yemen, our present administration would stand by our troops?
President "Loser and Sucker" Trump stand by our young men? Ha!!
