Do nothing
These times are overwhelming. You may feel impotent. Change seems impossible. Do nothing.
That is exactly how our present administration wants you to feel. For them to continue tightening the noose to asphyxiate democracy, it is important for you to remain silent.
It is no accident that health insurance has become too expensive and the cost of food is rising daily. More people will be plunged into poverty as the wealthy grab for tax cuts and cut social programs. It is intentional to keep you so overburdened by day-to-day life that you don’t have any energy left to fight the system. Should you give up and just go to sleep? If you don’t mind losing your rights. Already citizens of the US are being sent to detention centers along with immigrants. Resistance is being punished. Remember what the government can do to anyone, they can do to you. No one is safe. Review history if you don’t believe me. Hitler began by killing the Jews, then began killing anyone resisting.
He killed intellectuals, journalists, even his close friend Ernst Rohm because he feared he might become too powerful.
Through hardship, you are being silenced. Speak up. March. Contact your congress people.
Don’t support businesses which support detention camps. Bank of America said it would stop financing detention centers as did JPMorgan and Chase and Wells Fargo because customers spoke up. Lending money is critical for the expansion of detention centers. Still SunTrust, Barclays, BNP and Paribas continue to support them. Find ways to make your voice heard before you are silenced.
