I watched several hours of the House Judiciary Committee hearing with Special Prosecutor Jack Smith on Thursday, January 22. Every Republican I saw wore a self-satisfied smirk, dripping disdain and contempt for the truth. Their only interest was character assassination of Jack Smith. Most of them who asked Smith questions interrupted when he tried to answer.

Many were careful to end their comments with exaggerations, hints, insinuations, and innuendos just as their time expired, giving Smith no opportunity to clarify or defend himself, and making certain that THEIR assumptions were the last things people heard. And these are the people claiming they want to get fraud, abuse, and waste out of government. These are the people accusing Democrats of politically motivated action while putting on a superb performance of it themselves.
