Failing to deliver for working class
President Trump and the Republican Party have done nothing to improve the lives of working-class Americans since taking control of all three branches of government in 2025. They don’t care about you or me. Their focus is on enriching their wealthy donors and the Epstein class.
Inflation — something Trump promised to fix on “day one” — remains far too high, and the rising cost of basic necessities is making life increasingly difficult for most Americans. Instead of addressing affordability, Trump and congressional Republicans appear far more interested in increasing their own wealth, not yours. Since taking office, Trump and his family have profited by nearly $2 billion through questionable and unethical dealings, all at the expense of taxpayers. He is now suing the IRS–meaning the American people–for $10 billion. I assume we are supposed to believe he is doing that on our behalf.
Our elected representatives, and Trump enablers, Congressmen Thompson and Meuser, have likewise failed to deliver any meaningful benefits for their constituents since Trump returned to office. They represent the interests of the wealthy Epstein class, not everyday Americans. Both voted for the Big Beautiful “budget buster” bill that added $3.5 trillion to the national debt, handed disproportionate tax breaks to the wealthy, and harmed working families. That bill has also hurt rural hospitals, 28 which have already closed since the bill’s passage.
Both congressmen support Trump’s trade wars, which have significantly harmed American farmers by restricting access to foreign grain markets. As for accomplishments this session, Congressman Thompson’s legislative record includes a bill recognizing the 1980 men’s Olympic hockey team and another allowing whole milk in schools. While some of us like men’s hockey and whole milk, they fall far short of addressing the serious economic challenges facing working Americans today. Congressman Meuser had none of his introduced legislation passed during this session.
Working people deserve representatives who fight for lower costs, accessible health care, strong rural economies, and fair economic policies–not politicians who serve the wealthy Epstein class while ignoring the struggles of their constituents
