It seems our government is on a self-destruction mission as we accelerate our spiral into chaos! The Legislature and Supreme Court are both more than happy to collect their paychecks while they cede their Constitutional responsibilities to the wannabe king who makes spur-of-the-moment decisions with no interest in what’s best for the country, no planning, and no thoughtful consideration of probable consequences. The cabinet is composed of incompetent lackeys who do not have the skills to fulfill their Constitutional duty to advise the president…they just say “Whatever you say, Chief!” And as his reasons change faster than the wind, they continue to defend the no-plan plan.

We are supposed to be a country of laws, where justice is blind, all are treated equally and due process is a given in order to protect everyone against false accusations. And yet, this ‘man of peace,’ who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, orders boats from a foreign country to be blown out of international waters, with no evidence of their drug trafficking. He invades another country to kidnap and replace the leader so he can control their oil resources.

He claims to have ended eight wars with deals for ceasefires (not treaties), but the killing, destruction, and suffering continues. The death and destruction also continues in spite of ceasefires in Ukraine and Gaza. These are not the actions of a ‘man of peace.’

We are a country hiding our heads in the sand. We pledge allegiance to the flag of a Republic that claims to be “One nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all”, but, by dividing us into ‘us’ and ‘them’ and name calling, mocking and belittling ‘them,’ our reality sinks further and further away from that ideal.
