I can describe Trump’s war with Iran in 4 words; tactical brilliance / strategic ignorance.

For example, the US military has been extremely effective in neutralizing Iran’s Air Force, Navy, and to a lesser degree their missile launching capability. That’s tactical brilliance.

The strategic ignorance is on display because Trump didn’t consider the consequences of attacking Iran. You know, consequences like Iran attacking neighboring countries who host US military forces. Consequences like, Iran closing the Straits of Hormuz. Consequences like, our allies turning their backs on us after years of Trump dismissing those allies as useless.

How did this happen? Well, Trump only thinks in a day to day fashion. He doesn’t realize that things said and done one day, will have an impact long after the sun has set on that particular day.
