Disgrace
I have not written a letter for quite a while concerning the President of the U.S., but I finally feel that I need to express my humble opinions. I feel that Donald J. Trump is a disgrace to the United States and the office of the presidency. The corruption is off the charts, from cryto schemes to pardons for sale. The one thing that bothers me most is the destruction of USAID. This soft power program aided in providing food for starving children, HIV drugs (PEPVAR) and monitoring disease outbreaks primarily in Africa. The cost of the USAID program was under 100 billion dollars/year with a lot of that money going to U.S. farmers for the grain sent to Africa. It has been estimated that 750,000 children have starved to death in the first year with an estimate of 14 million people dying by 2030 due to the changes made by our corrupt president.
There are also the changes in the SNAP and medical insurance. Apparently it is more important to give tax cuts to the ultra-rich than it is to feed the hungry and help provide health care to the sick. How could one man cause this much carnage? Well, he had a lot of help! 220 Republican Representatives and 53 Senators are all complicit in what is happening in our country, and you can throw in 6 Supreme Court Justices. No one person can do this amount of damage without the majority party in Congress allowing him to get away with the all the corruption. I think that Republican members of Congress should be careful when they approach transgender issues because they apparently have already surrendered their testicles. Why do you think Trump is building a ballroom? It is storage space for Republican testicles until he leaves office.
Elections are coming around soon enough and that is the time to return accountability to Washington D.C. and reign in the continuing corruption. Lycoming County is blessed with two complicit Republican Congressmen and if they are returned to Congress, the economic and corrupt nightmare will continue. Republicans have shown that they are spineless sycophants when is come to Trump. They need to be held accountable at the ballot box so this country can return to the law abiding country it once was. Oh, for a return to the shining city on the hill, not the corrupt swamp in a reflecting pool. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
