Since when, America?

Since when has America attacked an enemy in the of midst of high-level negotiations, killing it its leader, negotiator and children?

Since when has our leadership boasted of prosperity in stock-market gains, while simultaneously cutting food and energy assistance to the sick, elderly and poor by hundreds of billions of dollars– and watching the middle class dissolve into debt and poverty?

Since when have we accepted, even applauded, a president who uses his sacred office to rake in billions?

Since when have we allowed our cancer research institutions to be stripped of funding?

Since when have we accepted and lauded a president who has tried to attach his name to anything he can get his hands on?

Since when have we so insulted, so alienated our allies, that they seek closer ties to our adversaries?

We have allowed our elected leadership to set the national soul on fire and dance around the flames. Lord help us, unless we open our eyes, we are headed to a very bad place very quickly.
