Price of gas

Representative Meuser/Senator McCormick:

Yesterday I filled up my gas tank. I purchased 16 gallons at $4.39 a gallon for a total of just over $70.

The Trump Administration and some Congressional Republicans like to put the blame on the Biden Administration for this increase.

The fact is the average price of gas during the Biden Administration was $3.45 so $4.39 represents a 27% increase. Yesterday, I paid an extra $15 over the average cost during the Biden Administration.

And by the way, contrary to President Trump's recent comments, I do not consider this a "small" increase.
