I am close to having lived 9 decades. Three of which was in the service of my country. However, I wonder if it was all worth it. I really wonder how those who fought in two world wars and two peace keeping missions feel. The concept of defending America by saving Europe and Asia in order to keep America safe was instilled in the youth of America and the American people. The Country was safe in the early years because it had two oceans protecting it. As time went on, those oceans were not so protective because science and engineering made any place on the planet easy targets via aircraft and missiles. Still, we stuck to the theory we have lived by: "fight wars on other people's lands and it will keep America safe".
Well, we now have been invaded by millions who have come here with the intent of making America a Third World country, and they were invited by a political party that has never been in favor of the concept of America as described in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. And the people, over the years, have become complacent. They have fallen into a routine that allows those who are elected to work for the people, can always be elected because the people keep voting for the same candidates.
Then along comes a non-politician. He is not of the political persuasion. He is a businessman. His idea of running the country is business oriented. Run the country efficiently; maintain law and order; and uphold the Constitution and the laws of God and Nature. Of course, this will not be tolerated by those who do not believe in the American way. Therefore, every change in policy will be challenged by the courts, which are mostly controlled by the American hating party. Additionally, certain states, cities, governors and Representatives belonging to the same American hating party, continue to violate the provisions in the Constitution. How voters cannot see their representatives are not representing them but doing the bidding of their party just contributes to the possible fall of the nation as it was founded.
To all of the above, one must not ignore the Supreme Court, especially its Chief Justice, for failing to admonish or fire those local and Federal judges who have ignored the Constitution when making rulings that effect the legal orders of the President,
So, as I approach my 9th decade of life, I cannot but wonder if I wasted my time serving my country, only to see it collapsing around me.
