More than 20,000 people signed a petition urging the University to protect this essential community service. It is time to stop the changing of time back and forward and back and forward twice a year. It no longer makes any sense and causes difficulty for people of all ages to adjust to the change. Teachers will attest to the fact that students struggle during the week after the Spring change. We have four months of standard time - one third of the year - and eight months of daylight saving time - two thirds of the year. Now that we’re on daylight saving time, let’s make it permanent.
