It is concerning to see a letter writer repeat propaganda that is fed to Americans from adversaries. Propaganda that has been proven to be false, yet there are still people who continue to repeat it. An example is that millions of dollars were sent to Hamas for condoms! This was proven to be nonsense along with all of the other “facts” spelled out in a recent letter, yet there are still many Americans who choose to believe these things because they choose to think that an entire half of the country are their enemies. We have all heard the expression "We need to fear the enemy within.” The enemy within has been growing for some time. Getting bigger and stronger with each passing year. Real world consequences

Two news articles in my local newspaper caught my attention. They describe the real-world consequences of the Trump Administration’s actions. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, which provides food for 600,000 Pennsylvanians every week, has been suddenly cut off from hundreds of thousands of dollars it uses to buy food directly from farmers, the most economical way to purchase milk, eggs and meat. The perverted priorities of the PA Game Commission (PGC) are, once again, illustrated by their stocking a quarter million non-indigenous pheasants that do not survive from one year to the next, yet they have done absolutely nothing to restore the disappearing eastern wild turkey which is an indigenous PA species. Farmers know how drought, floods and late spring freezes devastate crops. Their hard work is increasingly challenged by climate change. Now there’s erratic policy direction from President Trump. To help farmers make infrastructure investments to mitigate climate challenges, the Biden Administration’s Inflation Reduction Act offered them funds through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
