Following a memorable performance in the championship game of the 2025 Little League Softball® World Series, Little League International is proud to welcome the West Suburban Little League team from Johnstown to championship Sunday to celebrate their achievements.

“As we continue to focus and invest in our softball program, we are incredibly proud of the experience our 12 teams had down in Greenville this summer at the Little League Softball World Series and we are excited to recognize this year’s champions here in Williamsport as we honor their incredible achievements at this year’s event,” said Pat Wilson, Little League President and CEO. “The players, coaches, volunteers, and fans of the West Suburban Little League team fully exemplified the values of our organization and showcased what the World Series experience is all about. We hope they enjoy their time with us here in the birthplace of Little League and know that they will be an inspiration for the next generation of Girls with Game.”

With an undefeated 5-0 record in the tournament, the Mid-Atlantic Region representatives defeated the Central Region team from Floyds Knobs (Ind.) Community Club Little League to take home the championship banner in the final game, making it only the second team from Pennsylvania to ever win the event (Shippensburg Little League in 1978). This year’s championship game brought in a record-setting 1.44 million average viewers and 2.98 million peak viewers on ABC on Sunday, August 10, an increase of 139% over last year’s title game to make it the most watched Little League Softball game ever.

Throughout the course of their time in Greenville, West Suburban Little League and the other 11 participating teams had the opportunity to enjoy a variety of exciting activities, including the Girls with Game Celebration, equipment distribution and media day to show off their brand-new uniforms and gear, courtesy of Little League Official Sponsors, and more.

Throughout the course of the entire 2025 LLSWS, there were an average of 347,000 viewers (up 66% year-over-year) and included some impressive numbers that added additional excitement to the games:

• 10 shutouts

• Nine one-run games

• Seven come-from-behind victories

• Three walk-off victories

•Two out-of-the-park home runs

• A total estimated attendance of 18,269 (second-highest total since tournament moved to Greenville in 2021)
