A night earlier, Cowley's mom surprised him when she arrived in South Williamsport after saying she would have to stay home to take care of her younger son. An ecstatic Cowley carried that energy into Friday. lofting an 0-2 pitch into center field, scoring Owen Guzman as Nevada took its first lead all morning and earned a spot in Sunday's winner's bracket semifinals against the winner of Friday evening's Washington/Texas game.

Ohio which led 5-2 after scoring three fourth inning runs will play Massachusetts Saturday back at Lamade Stadium.

He also tied the game, 2-2 in the second inning when he roped a two-out RBI single which followed Michael Kleiner's RBI double.

Guzman then ignited the game-winning rally in the bottom of the inning, drawing a one-out walk.
Ohio suffered its first loss this summer after taking a 2-0 second inning lead and 5-2 fourth inning advantage. Leo Feltner went 1 for 2 with two RBIs and his sacrifice fly broke a 2-2 tie in the fourth. Jack McAdams then hit an RBI single and Walker Osborne an RBI fielder's choice.
