Senior Dominick Massaro led the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team with three goals for his second hat trick of the year and two others added multiple-goal efforts, but an eight-goal first quarter helped lift DeSales to a 19-9 MAC Freedom win.
Massaro also notched two groundballs, while junior Owen Zimmerman notched two goals and a caused turnover and junior Michael Scarponi added two goals and three groundballs.
• Wellsboro defeated Jersey Shore in boys tennis, 4-1. Will Poirier won at No. 1 singles for the Hornets, 7-5, 6-4, and Zach Singer won at No. 2, 6-1, 6-4.
The Bulldogs' lone victory came at No. 1 doubles where Connor Cornelius and Ross Fuller beat Owen Richardson and Dustin Benedict, 6-4, 6-4.
• Mansfield University field hockey's senior Caitlin Beauduy, sophomores Hailey Boda, Caitlin Keim, Hannah Meyer and freshman Kenedy Stroup earned NFHCA Division II Scholar of Distinction honors for their elite performance in the classroom.
