Golf tip of the week: Why buy custom clubs?
Don’t underestimate how custom clubs can improve your game. The golf clubs you buy off the rack may grab your eye, but may not fit your stature, body strength or help improve your weaknesses.
Just simply choosing a regular, stiff or senior flex is not the answer. There is a good chance you need a flex other than the standard manufacturer’s recommended flexes.
There is more to fitting a golf club than most golfers realize. Clubhead speed is just one of the factors needed when fitting clubs. Club length, grip size, proper flex, torque, shaft weight and proper flex point all need to be considered when properly fitting custom clubs.
Adjusting the lie and locating the spine on each shaft is also important to accomplish consistent ball disbursement.
Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
