The 12U Silver Bullet Travel Fastpitch team captured the championship title this weekend at the Billtown Brawl. The team went 6-0, allowing only one run all weekend.
Alexis Frey tossed two no-hit shutouts, facing 19 batters and striking out 12. Lydia Kresock threw two one-hit games, facing 28 batters and striking out 20. Haley Litzelman tossed a perfect game in the championship.
Danielle Miller batted .900 on the weekend and earned Tournament MVP honors. Mikaiya Hills hit two home runs and Maddie Smith and Frey both hit a home run as well. The team consists of Smith, Lia Bozochovic, Haley Litzelman, Frey, Hills, Dani Miller, Sophia Miller, Emma McLaughlin, Lydia Kresock, Alyvia Herrold, Shyla Fulp, Kinsley Cannode and Kiley Long.
• The Central PA Havoc went unbeaten to capture the USA 14U state championship for the second consecutive year in State College this past weekend. This tournament win marks the team's seventh championship in the last eight tournaments entered.
Central PA Havoc will travel to Quakertown this upcoming weekend to compete in the USSSA PA state championship.
• Lamont Moore has joined the Bucknell men's basketball staff as manager of basketball operations. Moore played for Davis for three years at Randolph-Macon, where he earned All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference and ODAC All-Academic honors during his standout collegiate career.
