The 12U Silver Bullets went 5-0 this past weekend at Penn State and claimed the gold bracket state championship.
Elimination Sunday started with a two-hit shutout tossed by Alexis Frey. That game seeded the Bullets directly to the semifinal game where Haley Litzelman earned the win and only allowed two runs in the game putting the girls in the championship game. Lydia Kresock then tossed a complete game for the win in the championship.
Litzelman had 17 strikeouts across two games, Kresock had 13 strikeouts in two games and Frey tossed a shutout in her appearance.
Top hitters batting over .500 for the Bullets over the weekend were Alyvia Herrold, Emma McLaughlin, Alexis Frey and Mikaiya Hills. Danielle Miller had the most RBIs with six and scored five times herself as well.
Other top hitters over .400 were Maddie Smith, Danielle Miller and Sophia Miller. The top defensive player on the weekend was Smith (shortstop).
The team consists of Shyla Fulk, Hills, Sophia Miller, Dani Miller, McLaughlin, Kresock, Herrold, Smith, Litzelman, Frey and Lia Bozochovic. Amber Frey, Regan Smith, Joe Miller and Erin Litzelman coach the team.
