Muncy had two top honors as the Mid-Penn Conference baseball all-star team was announced on Wednesday. Earning the Coach of the Year honor was Muncy coach Chris Persing. The league's Most Valuable Player award was shared by Muncy junior Ross Eyer and Millville senior Landon Evans.
The area had plenty of players honored throughout the first and second team.
Muncy had a trio of first-team infielders in Ross Eyer, junior Branson eyer and sophomore Noah Confer. Montgomery junior Noah Gearhart was also a first-team infielder.
Muncy's Gio Persun (senior) and Chase Crawley (senior) both received first-team outfielder honors, as did Montgomery senior Coltin Hans.
Muncy sophomore Braydon Kamerer and Montgomery senior Thayden Miller were each first-team catchers, and Montgomery senior Austin Kuhn was named first-team utility.
St. John Neumann senior Ryan Thompson was a second-team infielder. Naz Smith (senior, outfield) and JerVal Weeks-Shuler (senior, catcher) also earned second-team honors for the Golden Knights.
In addition to being a first-team infielder, Ross Eyer was also a second-team pitcher, as was Branson Eyer. Bucktail's Tristan Probst was a second-team outfielder. Montgomery's Tanner Springman also earned second-team outfield honors.
