UNIVERSITY PARK -- Following are the highlights and lowlights from Penn State's 46-10 victory over Ohio University on Saturday at Beaver Stadium:
Play of the game: Drew Allar stepped out of a sack in the fourth quarter and found Khalil Dinkins for a 28-yard touchdown that bumped the Nittany Lions' lead to 46-7.
Offensive player of the game: Nick Singleton rushed 10 times for 170 yards and touchdowns of 70 and 44 yards. He also had a 48-yard run.
Defensive player of the game: Tough to single out one but Lion corner Marquis Wilson made two tackles and broke up two passes, including one in the end zone.
Most telling statistic: Penn State rolled up 572 yards of total offense.
Hidden statistic: A total of 17 receivers caught passes for PSU, a school record.
Most deceiving statistic: The Lions converted just 3-of-12 third downs.
Best run: Singleton zipped around the right edge and showed his speed on the 70-yarder that gave the Lions a 14-0 lead.
Best pass: Allar dropped an absolutely dime right into the bucket of Omari Evans for a 32-yard TD on a third-quarter post, hiking the Nits' lead to 33-7.
Worst pass: Sean Clifford missed an open Singleton in the left flat in the third quarter.
Best catch: Ohio U's Ty Warren went up to snag a 16-yard reception in the first quarter. Interesting, both teams had a receiver named Ty Warren.
Catch it, will ya: Dinkins dropped one in the fourth quarter from Christian Veilleux.
Hold it, won't ya: Ohio U had a bad exchange in the end zone, resulting in a second-quarter safety and a 16-0 deficit.
Best tackle: The Bobcats' Jeremiah Burton stopped Clifford on fourth-and-3 at the Ohio 37 in the second quarter.
Best block: Lion guard Sal Wormley sprung Singleton's touchdown run.
Best hit: Wilson laid the wood to Ohio receiver Sam Wiglusz to force a third-quarter punt.
Best kick: Nit punter Barney Amor got a 45-yarder to check up at the 1 in the second quarter.
Worst kick: Jake Pinegar clanked an extra point off the left upright in the fourth quarter.
Best call: Late in the first half, Ohio ran a trick play with receiver Jacoby Jones throwing back to quarterback Kurtis Rourke for 17 yards to the PSU 1, setting up the Bobcats' lone touchdown.
Worst call(s): Ohio drove to the PSU 42 in the second quarter and faced third-and-2, then threw to low-percentage fades.
Worst penalty: Keyvone Lee was hit with a crackback block in the first quarter, wiping out a 15-yard pass-and-run to Parker Washington.
Best effort: Washington gained 106 all-purpose yards (60 receiving, 46 punt returns), and his 34-yard gain up the right sideline set up a late second-quarter TD that pushed the Nits up 26-7.
Best moment: When Allar took the field with 11:33 left in the third quarter. (Or, to keep it local, when the DelGrosso family was recognized on the field and scoreboard during a commercial break.)
