Freshman netminder Isabella Bobe made 14 saves in her first career outing for the Warriors (0-1 overall).

Sophomore midfielder Katie Maguire recorded one shot on goal in the fourth quarter, while freshman Kelly Preston also had a near chance at putting one in the back of the net.

Cabrini's Caroline Gallagher recorded four of the five goals, joined by teammate Olivia Sims. Netminder Courtney Keith earned the win.

• Sophomore Ellie Norton notched a couple marks in the Lycoming College volleyball team's record book in the first match, a 3-0 (25-12, 25-4, 25-11) win over Clarks Summit before first-year middle hitter Cameron Upcraft and senior middle hitter Elizabeth Kelson each had double-digit digs to lead Lycoming to a 3-1 (25-16, 25-12, 22-25, 25-18) win in the nightcap.

Norton served up 15 straight points in the second set against the Defenders (0-1 overall), tying the school record set by sophomore Arianna Santos (2021) and Katelyn McKillop (2013). Norton finished the game with 16 assists and nine service aces, tied for second-most in program history, as Lycoming served up 17 aces in the match. She also added 16 assists.

Kelson finished with nine kills on 11 swings for a fiery .818 hitting percentage, Upcraft hit 1.000 in five swings and sophomore Jessica Ahart had four kills in five swings.

Sophomore Ali Koval (North Penn-Mansfield graduate) and sophomore Brynne Bisel each had six digs to pace the defense.

The Warriors won the first two sets going away before Hilbert held Lycoming to a negative hitting percentage in the third set to take a 25-22 win. Lycoming rebounded in the fourth set, fighting through 10 lead changes and five ties before a big kill from Kelson made it 22-18, setting up a run of four straight points to end the match, the last two kills coming from sophomore Ava Coombs (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern).

Lock Haven fell to D'Youville College, 3-0 (25-17, 25-12 and 26-24) in the opening day of the Bald Eagle Classic. D'Youville, however closed the set strong and claimed the 25-17 win.

• Rafael Pereira scored in the 22nd minute and then assisted on Luca Nicastro's goal just 66 seconds later, sending St. Bonaventure to a 2-0 victory over Bucknell in men's soccer.

The Bison (0-3) possessed the ball for 65 percent of the match and finished with a 14-9 shot advantage, but St. Bonaventure (1-2) scored on its only two shots on frame.

After the Bison saw almost all of the ball in the opening 20 minutes, they were stung by the two quick strikes from the Bonnies. Pereira found space down the left flank and drove his defender back to the edge of the 18 before curling a well-placed shot inside the right post.
