Ten Lycoming wrestlers go undefeated at Lycoming Invitational on Sunday

Ten Lycoming College wrestlers went 3-0 to lead the team as it opened the season at the Lycoming Invitational on Sunday.

Sophomore 125-pounder Kaden Majcher (a Warrior Run graduate), sophomore 133-pounder Thomas Conselyea, sophomore 141-pounder Cooper Gilham, freshman 149-pounder Kobin Karper, senior 157-pounder Hunter O'Connor (a Jersey Shore graduate), sophomore 165-pounder Chase Chapman, freshman 174-pounder Eli Crum, junior 197-pounder Gable Crebs (a Montoursville graduate), sophomore heavyweight Robbie West and senior heavyweight Connor Fulmer all went 3-0 during the eight-team invitational, which featured Cortland, Elmira, Oneonta, Otterbein, St. John Fisher, Washington & Jefferson and York (Pa.).

Majcher picked up a major decision before posting pins of Oneonta's Danny Poggi and Washington & Jefferson's Holden DuBois.

Conselyea started his season with a 20-4 tech fall of Enoch Long of Washington & Jefferson before adding a pair of wins by decision.

Gilham, making his debut as a Warrior after a long year off recuperating, posted major decision wins over Otterbein's Clayton Kramer (10-2) and Elmira's Blake O'Brien (12-0) and adding a win by decision as well.

Karper posted a pin of Otterbein's Conner Roback and tech falls of York's Mohammed Gueddi (18-0) and Washington & Jefferson's Kevin Courseault Jr. (16-1).

O'Connor notched a pin of Otterbein's Jacob Williams before notching a 22-6 tech fall of Cortland's Gabe Lynch and then posting a 12-3 major decision of Cortland's Joey Visciano.

Chapman had pins of St. John Fisher's Ryleigh Duryee and Otterbein's Sam Wegesin before posting a 15-0 tech fall of Oneonta's Justin Peña.

Crum started his career with three first-period pins, decking St. John Fisher's Zachary Miller, Elmira's Caleb Tuttle and Otterbein's Austin Rheyne.

West added a third-period pin of Otterbein's Isaiah Fisher, a second-period pin of Elmira's Chris Powell and a first-period pin of St. John Fisher's Luke Cawley.

Crebs notched pins of Otterbein's Brandon Thomas and Cortland's Steven Gazzillo and a major decision of Otterbein's Jarrod Setliff.

Fulmer opened up 3-0 with a decision, a major decision of Elmira's Darius Green and a pin of Cortland's Roman Jellick.

Senior 133-pounder Sam Hanley, freshman 133-pounder Jocoah Whitcomb, junior 141-pounder Wiley Kahler, sophomore 149-pounder Logan Bartlett (a Lewisburg graduate), senior 165-pounder Preston Rogers and freshman 184-pounder James Ellis all won two matches.

The Warriors get back on the mat on Saturday, Nov. 12, when they head to the Washington & Jefferson Invitational for a 9 a.m. start.
