Lycoming announces incoming swim class

An accomplished group of six swimmers will join the Lycoming College swim teams in 2023-24, fourth-year coach Andrew Dragunas announced on Monday.

The group includes four women’s swimmers and two men’s swimmers.

The Warrior men finished 4-5 overall and 10th at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships and the women went 5-4 and took ninth at the conference meet. The Warriors will compete in the Landmark Conference for the first time in 2023-24.

The incoming class consists of Sienna Cross (Chico, California), Gwyn Fox (Altoona), Ana Holbrook (Colorado Early College-Douglas County), Londyn Snyder (Halifax), Tyler Bronson (Union Endicott, New York) and Drew Degnan (Elmira, New York).

Cross was a four-year letterwinner at Chico Senior High School and posted top times of 27.05 (50 free), 57.96 (100 free), 2:06.81 (200 fre) and 5:37.84 (500 free). ox was a three-time district qualifier at Altoona and took sixth in the 200 free and 500 free as a senior.

Holbrook posted career-best times in Colorado of 1:14.54 in the 100 back and 1:18.25 in the 100 fly. Snyder was a three-time district qualifier and one-time state qualifier at Halifax and took 19th in the 100 breast as a senior.

Bronson was a four-time sectional qualifier at Union-Endicott in New York and posted career-best times o 31.19 in the 50 free and 1:10.30 in the 100 free.

Degnan was a four-time sectional qualifier in Elmira and finished third in sectionals in 2022 in the 100 free and 12th in the 100 fly in 2021.
