CM’s Addison Lindsay wins District 6 girls tennis singles title

Addison Lindsay of Central Mountain defeated Hollidaysburg’s Crosby Denis, 6-0, 6-1, to win the District 6 girls tennis championship.
The win propels Lindsay to the PIAA Class AAA tournament in Hershey on Nov. 3-4.
Lindsay was the No. 1 seed and played like it. She defeated Altoona’s Courtney Irwin in the second round after receiving a bye, 6-0, 6-0. In the semifinals, she picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win against Hollidaysburg’s Megan Ferris.
Central Mountain’s Teresa Temple lost to Altoona’s Bella Graham in the tournament, 6-1, 6-3. Temple had a strong effort and played tough.
