Dewease picks up win

With an unfavorable forecast the only local track to get the show in was Williams Grove with their Outlaw tune-up on Friday night.

Lance Dewease claimed his first win in the new No. 39M Macri Motorsports ride. The victory was worth $6,000 for Dewease as he scored his third win of the season at the track and his 114th overall at the oval.

In the 358 sprint main, the final event of the season was credited to Derek Locke after Chad Criswell failed to make weight during post-race inspection.

Williams Grove Speedway will celebrate the 61st running of the annual Champion Racing Oil National Open for World of Outlaws sprint cars coming up this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. each night.

The Champion Racing Oil National Open weekend will wrap up the 2023 racing season at Williams Grove Speedway with Saturday night's 40-lap main event paying $75,000 to win.

Friday's 25-lap National Open Preliminary will pay $10,000 to the winner.
