GREENWOOD, Ind. - Evie Jane Rembold of the Lock Haven women's volleyball team earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The 2023 Academic All-District men's and women's volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions -- NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or significant reserve - playing in at least 90% or starting in at least 66% of the team's contests.
Rembold, a Central Mountain graduate, also had a breakout year on the court, where she started all 23 matches, and was tied for the team-lead in sets played. Rembold led the team in kills (173), kills per set (2.06), blocks (56.0), and blocks per set (0.67).
