Golf tip of the week: Utilize dominant fingers
Trending
Gripping a golf club with the dominant fingers will give you better ball control and consistent golf shots. This is not taught as much today as in the 1950s through the early 1980s.
When using the dominant fingers, several positive things happen.
1. You pay more attention to the details, setting a repetitive routine when gripping a club.
2. When using the dominant fingers, the correct muscles on the forearm are energized, allowing the other muscles to be more relaxed and eliminating tension where it is not needed, reducing the chance of tendonitis of the forearm.
3. The hands work as one unit and don't fight each other, resulting in a smoother and consistent swing.
Don't forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
