Freshman Ava Eyer produced a double-double, scoring a game-high 16 points, grabbing 13 rebounds and dealing four assists as Muncy defeated CMVT, 65-9.
Eyer also made three steals, while Nolah Moyer and Rosie Zalonis each scored 10 points. Zalonis also had five rebounds and five assists as did Addi Eyer, who added five steals.
Gigi Parlante and Niyah Tutler both delivered strong performances and fueled a big second half as St. John Neumann won, 60-44 at Millville while staying undefeated in the Mid-Penn. Parlante scored 24 points and Tutler 22 with the duo combining for 17 of the team’s 19 fourth quarter points.
Lizzie Weller added six points and Sophie Reid five as the Knights (8-4, 5-0) outscored Millville, 37-21 in the second half.
Montgomery dropped a heartbreaker, 40-38 at Benton. Falin Reynolds had a big night, going for a double-double which included 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals. Anali Pick provided a spark off the bench with six points and five rebounds. Addi Muhl pulled down eight rebounds for the Red Raiders.
• Messiah Baldwin and Tyrick Moy formed a strong duo, combining for 51 points and helping St. John Neumann, win 59-52 at Millville. Baldwin scored a game-high 22 points and Moy 19 as the Knights won their third straight game. Neumann (5-5, 4-1) started strong, opening the game with a 26-9 first quarter run.
Aiden McKee collected his eighth double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, but Mount Carmel started strong and defeated Warrior Run, 55-46. Landon Polcyn scored 11 points for the Defenders and Jake Brukhart had seven points, four steals and three assists.
Karson Dominick had a monster game for North Penn-Mansfield as the Tigers defeated Wyalusing, 60-46. Dominick scored a career-high 41 points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists. Cooper Shaw had eight rebounds.
Mansfield also received seven points from Andy Hermansen.
Josh Miner scored 24 points for Northwest and nearly outscored South Williamsport himself as the Rangers defeated the Mounties, 60-28. Ryan Miner added 14 for Northwest and Brady Shea scored 11.
South Williamsport was led by Caleb Neidig’s eight points and Jordan Baier’s seven.
• The Lock Haven women's basketball team continued its historic season as it traveled to Kutztown University for a road PSAC Eastern Division contest, where it won its 13th straight game of the season, 64-49, on Wednesday night. With the victory, the Bald Eagles matched their longest winning streak in program history.
Reigning PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week Alana Robinson continues to fill up the stat sheet, as she led all scorers on the night with 25 points and added seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks to her stat line.
Jenadia Jordan had another standout game as she secured a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double. And Taylor Leidy finished with 13 points, while Madeline Evans added five points and six rebounds.
Mansfield defeated Bloomsburg in PSAC Eastern division play on Wednesday night, 63-58. The win came thanks in large part to Jasmine Hilton, Kristen Fulford and Katie Sheeler, who each scored in the double figures for the Mountaineers.
Hilton recorded her fifth double-double of the season scoring 20 points and pulling in 15 rebounds. Fulford finished as Mansfield's second-leading scorer, adding 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting. And Sheeler ended her night with 11 points, converted on her lone three and led the Mounties in assists with three.
North Penn-Liberty defeated Williamson, 60-52, in a Northern Tier contest. Louis Mercantino led Liberty with 19 points and Luke Kreger scored 17. Blake Oakley scored 10 points.
• The Lock Haven men's basketball team won its fourth straight game in come-from-behind fashion after traveling to Kutztown University to snatch a 78-72 victory in a PSAC contest.
Lock Haven improves to 8-5 overall and 6-2 in the PSAC and remains in second place in the East. Kutztown falls to 1-13 on the year with a 0-8 mark in the conference.
The Bald Eagles continue to improve on the road and have moved above .500 as visitors this season with a mark of 4-3. The Haven has come-from-behind during all four victories during the streak.
Justice Shoats led the way with a game-high 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting, adding five rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Collin Jones, a Central Mountain graduate, continued his run of double figure outings off the bench as he scored 14 points to go with a team-high eight rebounds and a steal.
