After becoming the first Lycoming College baseball player to eclipse 50 hits in a season, sophomore Nick Reeder, a Montoursville graduate, became the first player in program history to earn All-Landmark Conference honors, earning a spot on the second team as an outfielder, the conference office announced.
Reeder led the Warriors with a .340 batting average, 52 hits, 32 runs, 15 walks and 15 stolen bases, finishing 15th in the league in batting average, 11th in hits, tied for second with four triples and tied for 13th with 15 stolen bases. He had two 12-game hitting streaks during the season and had hits in 34 of the 40 games the team played in, plus he notched two or more hits 15 times, including three three-hit games.
In two seasons with the Warriors, Reeder has notched a .343 average with 62 runs, 94 hits, 13 doubles, four triples, a homer and 39 RBI. He has also stolen 27 bases.
The Warriors finished 9-31 overall and 3-21 in the Landmark under second-year coach Rick Oliveri.
