By From staff reports 2 min read

Sophomore Aidan Stillman and junior Christian Woobay assisted on each other's second-half goals to lift the Lycoming College men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Penn State Behrend in the championship game of the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament at Behrend Stadium on Sunday.

The Warriors (2-0 overall), who held a 19-6 advantage in shots against the 2023 ECAC finalists, pressured throughout the game, posting eight corner kicks while yielding none.

It wasn't until the 64th minute when the Warriors got on the board, though, as Stillman put a corner kick into play to the far side of the box, where junior Cole Sharpnack headed it to the near post for a waiting Woobay flicked it into the net.

Nine minutes later, Woobay got into the box and worked near the end line before passing to Stillman, who took one quick touch and fired a curving laser into the right corner.

• Penn College dropped a 1-0 decision to King’s College in a non-conference game. The Wildcats fell to 0-2, while the Monarchs improved to 1-0. King’s took an early 1-0 with a tally in the 17th minute and prevented Penn College from a shot on frame in the half.

The Wildcats had their lone shot on goal in the 78th minute when Logan Stapleton’s attempt was stopped. King’s outshot PCT, 15-4 (11-1 on goal), and held a 5-4 edge on corner kicks. Cole Catherman stopped 10 shots in goal for the Wildcats.

Penn College returns to action Saturday, 1 p.m., in its home opener against Keuka College
