Plenty from area represented on HAC all-star teams

Milton and Lewisburg both reached the District 4 Class AA playoffs this year and had success, so it’s no surprise both teams had a player selected to the all-state team in boys soccer as the HAC all-star teams were released.

Milton senior goalie Jonah Strobel and Lewisburg junior midfielder Viktor Permyashkin were both named all-state. Also garnering all-state honors was Central Columbia junior midfielder Gaige Gensemer.

Lewisburg’s Ben Kettlewell was named HAC-I Coach of the Year and Zach Diehl of Central Columbia garnered HAC-II Coach of the Year honors. Permyashkin was named HAC-I Player of the Year and Central Columbia’s Torin Karns was HAC-II Player of the Year.

Plenty of area players were part of the HAC-I and HAC-I all-star teams, be it first team, second team, third team or honorable mention.

On the HAC-I first team, Lewisburg’s Isaay Ayres, Milton’s Joel Langdon and Williamsport’s Brayden Ungard were forwards. Earning midfield honors were Permyashkin and MIlton’s Tobin Strouse. Strobel was a first-team goalie.

Jersey Shore’s Jack Breining was a second-team forward as was Lewisburg’s Cohen Hoover. Milton’s Trent Delong, Central Mountain’s Cole Cooper and Williamsport’s Evan Brittain were all second-team midfielders and Lewisburg’s Alex Gilmore, Central Mountain’s Isaiah Brinker and Williamsport’s Parker Johnson and Tadd Ungard were second-team defenders. Lewisburg’s Gabe Pawling was a second-team goalie.

Central Mountain’s Lincoln Breon, Milton’s Kade Ficks and Williamsport’s Tarrel Brown were third-team forwards. Central Mountain’s Griffin Confer was joined by Jersey Shore’s Dylan Hensler and Williamsport’s Connor Hofstrom as third-team midfielders. On defense were Jersey Shore’s Rylan Bowers, Lewisburg’s Marino Cardello and Milton’s Cade Swartzentruber.

Earning honorable mention accolades from the area included Central Mountain’s Alton Counsil, Jersey Shore’s Breylen Guerrero, Lewisburg’s Riley Gulden-Luthi, Milton’s Jake Harris and Williamsprot’s Isaac Balza.

On the HAC-II all-star team, Montuorsville’s Bryce Winslow, a sophomore, was a first-team forward. Loyalsock’s Evan Anderson and Montoursville’s Quinn Winslow were named first-team midfielders. On defense, Hughesville’s Quynn Hartman, Warrior Run’s Mike Kemock and Montoursville’s Brayden McCourt were all named first-teamers.

Montoursville’s CJ Lucas was a second-team forwad, as was Hughesville’s Sam Haddon.

Warrior Run’s Cooper Wilkins was named a second-team midfielder and on defense for the second team were Shaw Simpson of Montoursville, Jacob Edmonds of Loyalsock and Jared Sivers of Warrior Run. Warrior Run’s Braego Cieslukowski was also a second-team goalie.

Brycen Savoy of Loyalsock and Gavin Hunter of Warrior Run were both third-team forwads. On the third-team midfid was Loyalsock’s Gavin Grieco, Hughesville’s James Stephens and Montoursville’s Gavin Hawley.

Loyalsock’s Wesley Johnson and Caleb Hartsock both were named third-team defenders.

Garnering honorable mention honors from the area were Hughesville’s Jacob Mackenzi (midfield), Loyalsock’s Ryan Lingg (defender), Montoursville’s Sean Frey (midfield) and Warrior Run’s Ori Kennel (midfield).
