Lycoming’s Valentine earns Landmark honor

Junior Isaiah Valentine became the first Lycoming College men's basketball player to earn the Landmark Conference's Athlete of the Week award.

Leading a group of five Lycoming men’s basketball players in double figures in a 86-74 win over Wilson with a season-high 27 points, Valentine also added nine rebounds and three assists against the Phoenix. He went 9-of-13 from the field, 3-of-5 from 3-point range and 6-of-7 at the free throw line. The junior scored 15 points in the first half to pace the Warriors en route to a 49-32 halftime lead.

Valentine is sixth in the Landmark Conference with an average of 15.7 points per game, seventh with 6.4 rebounds and fourth with 3.3 assists. He is ninth in the league with a .486 field goal percentage and fifth with 1.9 3-point field goals per game. He also leads the league, averaging 35.9 minutes per game.

Valentine is the first Warrior to earn a conference's player of the week award since Dyson Harward '23 earned the MAC Freedom Player of the Week award on Feb. 13, 2023.

The Warriors get back on the court after the New Year, facing Lebanon Valley on Saturday, Jan. 4, at Sorrentino Gymnasium.
