Numerous area standouts earn NTL-II, NTL-I all-star honors in football

Muncy had an incredible season reaching the PIAA Class A semifinals for the first time while numerous standouts had individual accolades. All of that is a big reason Muncy was well-represented on the 2024 NTL football all-star team this season.

Muncy’s Landyn Wommer and Montgomery’s Coy Bryson were named Co-Offensive Players of the Year for the NTL-II all-star team while Muncy’s Stiles Eyer and Montgomery’s Trace Furman were Co-Defensive Players of the Year.

Muncy’s Ken Hampe was named Lineman of the Year and 3,000-yard rusher Austin Johnson earned Overall Player of the Year accolades. Muncy’s coaching staff was named NTL Coaching Staff of the Year.

Eyer was a first-team quarterback and first-team defensive back. Johnson earned first-team running back and first-team linebacker honors, and Muncy’s Hampe was a first-team lineman and first-team defensive tackle. Wommer also was a two-time first-team all-star, earning running back and linebacker honors.

Bryson was a first-team running back and Furman was named first-team utility/athlete.

Muncy’s Paxton Derr was a first-team wide receiver, Cameron Kamerer was a first-team tight end/halfback, Nixon Lamphear and Nick Delany were both first-team offensive linemen and Austin Hartzel was a first-team kicker.

Montgomery saw Layne Gingery earn first-team offensive linemen honors. South Williamsport’s Dylan Scheller was a first-team wide receiver and Paxton Gephart was a first-team offensive linemen for the Mounties.

On the defensive side, Lamper was a first-team defensive linemen for Muncy. Muncy saw Dominic Guardini earn first-team defensive back honors, Gavin Boarrows claim first-team punter honors and Derr was a first-team utility/athlete. Montgomery’s Hayden Wilt was a first-team defensive back and Cam Woltz earned first-team linebacker. Cowanesque Valley’s Luke Sottolano was a first-team defensive tackle and Dave Hess earned first-team defensive back.

South Williamsport’s Paxton Gephart was a first-team defensive end, earning first-team honors on both sides of the ball, as was Scheller, who was a first-team defensive back.

Earning second-team offense honors for the NTL-II from the area were South Williamsport’s Tadd Lusk (quarterback), Cade Lusk (running back), Max Wilton (offensive lineman) and Eli White (utility/athlete); Cowanesque Valley’s Dave Hess (running back), Jeavon Eick (wide receiver) and Luke Sottolano (offensive lineman); and Montgomery’s Lincoln Miller (Tight end/halfback)), Landon Rhine (offensive lineman), Connor Jarrett (offensive lineman) and Abe Childs (kicker).

Second-team defensive honors from the area were South Williamsport’s Ben Ferris (defensive tackle), Kasim Davenport (defensive end) and Tadd Lusk (defensive back); Montgomery’s Connor Jarrett (defensive tackle), Coy Bryson (linebacker), Coy Bryson (punter) and Brady O’Rourke (utility/athlete); Cowanesque Valley’s Stevie Olson (defensive end), Keegan Lane (linebacker) and Jaevion Eick (defensive back); and Muncy’s Nick Delany (linebacker) and Nathan Rogers (defensive back).

Michael Beers of Canton was a first-team offensive lineman and also earned second-team defensive tackle honors in the NTL-I division. Alexis McRoberts of Canton was a first-team kicker and Luke Kreger of North Penn-Mansfield was a first-team wide receiver.

Holden Ward of Canton and Cooper Shaw of Mansifle were first-team linebackers alongside Wellsboro standout Ryder Bowen.

Canton’s Ben Fitch was named a first-team defensive back and Canton’s Aydin Holcomb was a first-team punter.

Cooper Shaw of Mansfield was a second-team quarterback, Canton’s Bailey Gardner was a second-team running back and Mansfield’s Braden Route and Wellsboro’s Evan Ingerick both earned second-team offensive lineman honors. Canton’s Aiden Holcomb was a second-team wide receiver as was Holden Ward.

A second-team linebacker was Dawson Burgess of Canton.

Troy, which won the PIAA Class AA championship this fall, had numerous first-team all-stars as well as the Players of the Year (Brendan Gilliland and Evan Woodward), Defensive Player of the Year (Jack Burbage), Lineman of the Year (Avery Sens) and Coaching Staff of the Year.
