Central Mountain’s Camryn Bair breaks school record in 500 free vs. Mount Carmel

Another year, another pool record broken for Central Mountain senior Camryn Bair. The Wildcat standout broke the 500 free record on Tuesday in a dual with Mount Carmel with a time of 5:31.78.

Central Mountain’s girls team beat the Red Tornadoes, 132-27, while the boys won, 116-47.

Bair holds numerous school records in various events and has continued to break her own marks each season. On Tuesday, the Wildcats won all 11 events.

Individually, Gabriella Hosley was a two-event winner, claiming victories in the 200 free and 100 fly. Kaylie McCloskey also won two events, doing so in the 50 free and 100 free. Benelli Reynolds won the 200 IM, Bair won the 500 free, Abrianna Hosley won the 100 back and Amelia Svederus won the 100 breast.

On the boys side, the Wildcats claimed three relay wins. Individually, Brody Rhine was a two-event winner. The Central Mountain standout won the 100 fly and 100 breast.

Central Mountain also saw Rhys Swift claim a victory in the 200 IM, Raiden Newcomer win the 50 free, Jonathan Hughes win the 500 free and Neil Kaluzny claim a victory in the 100 back.

The win moves the Wildcats to 11-1 as Central Mountain travels to Williamsport on Tuesday for their final dual meet of the season.
