Lewisburg’s boys and girls track and field teams competed in the Bruce Dallas Invitational at Mechanicsburg.
Lewisburg senior Jonathan Hess ran a time of 4:17.35 to claim a win in the 1,600, winning the event by nine seconds over Exeter Township’s Chase Choudhry. Justin Nolt of Lewisburg took eighth in the event (4:35.46).
Ezra Zook, a Lewisburg senior, was a third-place finisher in the pole vault by clearing 12 feet, 6 inches. Danville’s Gavin Holcombe won by reaching 13-6.
Another third-place finisher was Jacob Gose, who took third for Lewisburg in the shot put (53-10) behind only Exeter’s Logan Webman (56-10 1/2) and Brendan Rilatt of Elizabethtown (54-7 3/4).
In the 110 hurdles, Lewisburg senior Haneef Shavers ran a 15.79 to take fourth.
Lewisburg’s Grayson Barner (10:24.27) and Brady Ryder (10:24.98) were fifth and sixth in the 3,200. Grayson Wynings of Lewisburg tied for seventh in the high jump by clearing a mark of 5-8.
On the girls side, Baylee Espinosa of Lewisburg claimed a title by running a 5:07.09 in the 1,600 and she took fourth in the 800 in 2:19.90. Lewisburg’s Teagan Osunde won the javelin with a throw of 134-3, just three feet shy of Cedar Crest’s Eliana Schneider (137-11). Ella Vance of Lewisburg took fourth (106-4).
Lewisburg’s Madison Moyers was a fifth-place finisher in the 100 in 12.82. Caroline Blakeslee also took fifth in the 200 for the Green Dragons in 25.98.
Maya Sak took fourth in the 3,200 for Lewisburg in 11:49.92. Emma Bolton tied for eighth in the high jump with a height of 4-10.
