In the first game, the Lycoming College baseball team's bullpen threw four scoreless innings and in the second, junior Jake Wilber threw six no-hit innings to start as Lycoming swept Moravian, 5-2 and 6-3, in Landmark Conference action.
Wilber (5-3) threw 7 1/3 innings in the nightcap, allowing three hits, four walks and two runs, as he struck out three and established a new school record for wins in a season with his fifth win of the season. He was joined in the record-breaking column by senior Danny DeLucas, who had two hits in the first game to give him a record 53 on the season.
The Warriors (18-15 overall, 10-8 Landmark) jumped out with two runs in the first inning, as DeLucas and junior Brody Lindsey each drew walks before junior A.J. Llorente, a Montoursville graduate, and sophomore Eric MacCluen each delivered two-out RBI singles.
In the fourth, MacCluen got things started with a double to right before a fielder's choice and a throwing error helped him score and senior Jake Schilling reach second base. A single by senior Evan Mok scored Schilling. Mok stole second and scored from there with a heads up running play on a fielder's choice.
Lycoming extended the lead to six runs in the sixth when DeLucas was hit by a pitch before sophomore Sean Perkins tripled to right center.
Wilber meanwhile retired 19 of the first 20 batters he faced, setting down the Greyhounds (10-20 overall, 4-12 Landmark) in order five times in the first six innings before Troy Rabosky broke up the no-hit bid with a homer with one-out in the seventh.
Moravian got one more run in the seventh and a single tally in the ninth, but were limited by just five hits in the game.
